SC Challenge Early AM Workout: Day 5

Fin. Fine. Das Ende. The end. The last recap of our early A.M. workout SC Challenge is finally here. We may or may not have procrastinated on writing this. Please excuse us as we are still recovering from last week’s night(day)mare. Check out our progress here, here, here and here, as well as how we felt going into this month’s SC Challenge.

Alright, guys. I must confess I am bad at these “waking up” challenges. I didn’t do it. Again. I don’t even want to pretend I had an appropriate excuse other than I was going to drive four hours that day and preferred to be alert during the drive so getting up at 5 am was not going to happen. (Do you see how I casually snuck in that excuse?) No regrets. I ended up going on this heinous hike later in the day after driving up to Santa Barbara so, really, I deserved to sleep the hell in and call it a day, okay. Leave me alone to my non-morning person ways.

Michelle, the morning person – may she rest in peace, forever.

Vivian: My alarm sounded. It was the last day, the end. My body said “eff it” but my mind said “you can do this…I think.” In the end, my body won. Not only was I sleepy af, I was physically exhausted from this month’s SC Challenge. So on the last day, I gave myself permission to skip the gym. But then I felt bad about it and went to the gym at 6 a.m. on Saturday instead (which was worse).

This challenge was good in theory. Although I don’t see myself waking up at 6 a.m. every morning to hit the gym, I think I might start incorporating it into my weekly routine here and there. I did end up at the gym at yesterday morning so #winning.

After a week of A.M. workout challenges, we are grateful:
