Nasty Gal Just Dropped The Courtney Love Collab

As the 90s trend rages on like some club kid wearing plastic chokers at a concert that never ends, Nasty Gal just dropped Courtney Love’s collection. And it’s a major time warp. Chokers? Check. Slips as dresses? Check. A sheer lace unitard? …. Check.

The collection includes dresses based on some of Love’s iconic looks but all of the pieces have a modern spin. There’s also quite bit of lingerie-as-regular-clothes pieces as well – if that’s your thing.

My favorite picks from the collab are below:

Lace Bustier ($88.00)

If I was going to Coachella, I would wear this. Or if I really wanted to wear something daring out on the town. (Note: do people still say “out on the town”?)

Black Satin Slip Dress ($88.00)

The open back on this dress is what does me in here. Super sexy.

Take the Throne Headband ($25.00)

Sometimes, you just have to crown the queen (yourself).

Sure, you could probably go to a thrift store  for a lot of the these looks. I feel like that is what Love herself would have done circa 1990s. But, it’s still a great collab. The wearability of some of these items, however, is questionable.

The babydoll dresses in particular are extremely short. I don’t think you could really bend over without exposing yourself to the whole world. I think these pieces would do well showcased in an Instagram account or as a fashion blogger if you didn’t have to go prouncing around outside or if you don’t work in a traditional office.

Still, the collection has a lot to offer and a Nasty Gal and Courtney Love collab seems only natural.
